Fitness Workouts
If you have the diet part handled, but are neglecting fitness workouts in your daily routine, then you are neglecting the full potential. For some people, maintaining a strict diet and fighting food cravings is most difficult part of transforming their body. For others, (like me) having the discipline to exercise constantly and push myself hard during my workouts is the real challenge. I am convinced that I am a lazy person by nature...but that's no excuse! The key to motivation, consistency, and ultimately results is knowing how to successfully implement a habit.
You can start eliminating the excuses by making some commitments to yourself. Enroll in a local gym and commit to a weekly schedule of when you will go there. In my experience, it is absolutely critical to decide this beforehand, when you can make a plan based on logic. This way, when that little troll called emotion begins the inner dialogue in your head you can be prepared. Excuses will pop into your head in the moment such as "I'm too tired"..."I don't really have time"..."It will be too crowded, I feel self-conscious"...etc... Realize that is not YOU talking, it's just bad emotions- chemical reactions and nerves firing in your body. Remember that YOU made a commitment to take control of your health, remember that YOU had a plan and that you still have the strength to stick to it.
The core of your fit and healthy lifestyle is your diet, and your
weight training routines.
In addition to strength training, it is very important to structure in regular
aerobic workouts
as well.
Here is a great article

, about his experience training vegetarians.
Keeping the above in mind, also remember to not obsess over results, rather focus on the consistency of your actions. Results come slow, but they will compound dramatically over time. Did you eat well this week with minimum cheating? Did you go to the gym on the days you were supposed to? Did you really push yourself hard in each and every one of your fitness workouts? If you answer (honestly) 'yes' to questions such as those, then you are already a success. No matter what you still look like in the mirror, or how slow the number on the scale is moving, you are now in control of your body and you can carry yourself with the confidence to match right this moment.
