Juice diet and juice recipes.
There is a lot of hype these days surround an all juice diet and juice detox. The idea is to take a few days out of your regular eating schedule, to detoxify your body with a modified fast. Instead of eating your regular meals, you follow a schedule of drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juice to 'flush out your system'. Opinions on this subject are strongly divided. Critics call it pseudo-science, saying that the notion of these stored toxins is an exaggeration, and that fasting of any kind is nothing more than an unhealthy strain on your system. Meanwhile, believers swear by powerful healing effects of fresh, raw juices, and can cite countless examples of the positive transformation in energy and general health resulting from these programs.
Is juice fasting a healthy practice? Or a possibly dangerous fad?
Whether or not the 'detox' is effective, is still up for debate. But we can safely assume that incorporating fresh fruit and vegetable juice into our existing diet would have a positive effect. It would not hurt to add a juicer to your kitchen, either way. Here are some unbiased
